Caves, Waterfalls, Tarns & Mines

Region: Yorkshire Dales
The Challenge: To complete a circular walk cutting through some of our favourite parts of the dales in 12 hours.
Distance: 38km (23miles)
Height climbed: 1.25km (4100ft)

We designed this challenge here at Lupine Adventure as an alternative to the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. While we do love the Yorkshire 3 Peaks this challenge event has, we feel, quite a bit more interest to it.

It includes viewings of caves used by our Neolithic ancestors, a climb up alongside the waterfall at Gordale Scar, the beautiful Malham Tarn, the crossing of fountains fell and passing ‘The Churn Milk Hole’, a huge sink hole in the limestone, before heading south to pick up the river for the walk back to Settle.
