Minor changes to course notes. Level 3 Basic Expedition Leadership course
I hope you all had a good Easter, especially if you were out getting the first expeditions of the year under your belt. We have now completed our first Open Expedition of the year and are looking forward to the rest of these later in the season. If you had anyone who had to drop out through illness or injury and they need a Gold expedition in the summer then take a look at our open expedition pages. http://www.lupineadventure.co.uk/open-dofe-expeditions-for-individuals.html
Course Notes document updated
We've made some minor changes to our course notes regarding first aid. If you have a stock of the previous version then it probably isn't worth throwing them out but if you are printing a new set then you may wish to download the latest version.
If anyone has any feedback on the new page on tent folding it would be appreciated. I am interested to know if the concept comes across and if it makes sense overall.
Level 3 Basic Expedition Leadership (BEL)
We have spaces on our Level 3 in Basic Expedition Leadership training course which starts next month. The course is run over 4 weekends from Leeds (West Yorkshire) as shown below. The cost is £350 per person
|23-24 May 2015||Non Residential training near Leeds, West Yorkshire|
|6-7 June 2015||Non Residential training near Leeds, West Yorkshire|
|19-21 June 2015||Friday to Sunday Expedition. The venue will be arranged on the previous 2 weekends|
|4-5 July 2015||Non Residential training near Leeds, West Yorkshire|
We're already getting bookings for the week-long intensive course in the October half term too. Take a look at our Basic Expedition Leadership page if you or someone in your organisation are interested in this qualification. http://www.lupineadventure.co.uk/basic-expedition-leader.html
Whenever we quote to run expeditions for schools we quote for one leader per group. If you have 2 or more Bronze groups out and you have attended a BEL training course you can be one of those leaders thus saving the cost of one of our leaders. This means that the cost of the course is more than paid for over one practice and one qualifying expedition. You can do this without having to complete the assessment as your work would be carried out under our direct instruction. Please note that to take groups out on your own most organisations and local authorities will require you to have completed the assessment as well.
