Lake District
Vegetarian / Vegan Walking Weekend 2010
Friday 18 - Sunday 20 June 2010
The Lake District National Park is a beautiful and fulfilling place to spend a weekend walking. However the mountains of the Lake District can be a challenging and dangerous place for an inexperienced hill-walker. Gain experience by joining Lupine Adventure for a weekend of guided walks. Our experienced, fully qualified and insured Mountain Leader will plan and lead walks to suit your ability and aspirations. They will look after your safety and coach you in navigation techniques and mountain safety. We will be based in the pretty market town of Amblesde at the north end of Windermere.

Where Will We Be Walking?
Your Mountain Leader will plan routes to suit the abilities, fitness and aspirations of the group. We will be exploring the mountains, woodland and valleys around the town of Ambleside. Your Mountain Leader will make sure that plenty of rest stops are taken to eat, drink and admire the views.
- On the Saturday we are likely to go high into the mountains and walk the Fairfield Horseshoe, a walk of around 16km. Expect amazing views into the central fells and South to Windermere. We will depart Ambleside at 9.30am and arrive back in Ambleside for 6pm.
- On the Sunday we are likely to walk from Ambleside, over Loughrigg and onwards towards Easedale Tarn. This walk will be approximately 14km in lenght. We will arrive in the village of Grasmere for tea/coffee or perhaps a pint, before catching a local bus back to Ambleside. We will depart Ambleside at 9.30am and arrive back in Ambleside for 6pm.
Accommodation
We will be staying in self-catering independent hostel on the Friday and Saturday nights. The cost of this is included in the price of the holiday. If you prefer to stay in a vegetarian B&B/Hotel please contact us to discuss your requirements.
