Approximately what date was your course on
Do you feel that the course has improved your navigation skills? I’m worse off, it just confused me
No improvement
A fair amount of improvement
Vastly improved
To what extent did this training meet your expectation? Fell well below
Wasn’t quite as good as I wanted
Was pretty much what I expected
Exceeded expectation
Was the navigation training pitched at the right level for you? Too easy
About right for the most part
Too hard
Was the physical activity inherent in the training pitched at the right level for you? There were too many hills
Too much distance covered
It was fine
I would have preferred it to be a bit more challenging
Was the instruction delivered at a reasonable pace? Way too slow,
A bit slow
Just right
Too fast
Way too fast
Was the Leader attentive to your individual learning needs? I don’t think they even knew my name
They were a bit busy with everyone else to notice me much
I got all the attention I needed
Too much they wouldn’t stop bugging me
Were you confident in the leaders ability to lead you through the fells safely? I was concerned for my safety
I was a bit wary at first but then all was fine
It didn’t cross my mind that they wouldn’t be
I was made to feel very confident in my leader from the outset
How would you rate your leaders knowledge, or willingness to impart knowledge, of the mountain environment They tried to pass off a swan for a heron
They didn’t really mention much not related to navigation
They were knowledgeable and informative on a wide range of subjects
They didn’t stop going on about the invertebrates and I still don’t know what a contour line is.
If your leader remembered any handouts, how useful were they? Not at all useful
Fairly useful
Invaluable
Not really sure
What was the best bit about the course
What was the worst bit about the course
Please feel free give any information or advise that would help us to improve our courses in the future
