Over the next 5 years he managed a team of 25 in a restaurant in Leeds whilst maintaining his passions for hill walking, camping and house renovating. After a 3 month trip around South America he elected to return to the outdoor adventure work.
Since 2006 he has worked freelance for Leeds city council, Bradford council, Leeds Metropolitan University and most recently Lupine Adventure. He has worked with a diverse range of individuals from pupil referral units to grammar schools and university students to lecturers.
Gavin feels a strong connection with the outdoors as it is in remote environments where he finds he is most content and at peace. He regularly wild camps both with friends and alone and likes nothing more than waking up in the fresh air listening to the sounds of nature. Gavin’s qualifications also include Summer ML and Trail Cycle Leader, in future he would like to work towards the MIA, however he recently became a father so it may take some time.....
